1. In the U.A.E., there are several recruitment agencies
licensed to recruit foreign manpower.
2. These agencies are subject to specific conditions, they
may not receive any fees from the workers in consideration of the brokerage to
find them a job. These agencies receive a remuneration from the employers who
ask them to call for labour from abroad. This remuneration will be agreed upon
between the licensed agency and the employer who has the work permits from the
Ministry to call for manpower from abroad.
3. Should a recruitment agency operating in the U.A.E.
accept any amounts from any worker in consideration of his/her recruitment, the
latter should report the issue immediately to the nearest labour department in
the U.A.E. in order to take the necessary procedures against the owner of the
concerned agency, as such agencies are prohibited from collecting any fees from
the workers as per the provisions of the U.A.E. Labour Law, and the Ministerial
Resolution which regulates the operations of the Foreign Labour Recruitment
Agencies.
